About me
My name is Sigrún Júnía. I’m 38 years old and I live on a farm in East Iceland with my husband and our two sons. I’m a photographer and videographer, drawn to natural light, slow seasons and honest moments. Life on the farm- breeding horses and sheep, caring for two dogs, and raising a family- shapes the way I work: patient, observant and deeply connected to place.
I document everyday life, landscapes and the animals we raise, aiming to capture quiet authenticity rather than staged perfection. My work blends documentary storytelling with an appreciation for Iceland’s changing light and wide spaces. Whether I’m filming a foal taking its first steps or photographing a family at dawn, I focus on mood, texture and the emotional thread that ties people and place together.
I also take on client work, collaborating with families, brands and small businesses who value natural, unforced imagery. I offer portrait sessions, editorial and commercial photography, lifestyle and documentary films, and bespoke commissions tailored to each client’s needs. .
When I’m not behind the camera I’m tending the land, training horses or having fun time with the family. These moments feed my creativity and remind me why I choose to tell stories rooted in home, nature and connection.
