About me
I’m Sigrún Júnía, a photographer, farmer and visual storyteller living with my family at Tjarnarland in East Iceland.
For many years, photography was something I mainly used in my work for clients. Over time, though, I began to miss photographing simply because something caught my attention - a quiet moment, changing light, an ordinary day on the farm or a landscape I wanted to remember.
This website is a place for that kind of work.
Through photographs and short stories, I document life around me: our sheep, horses and working dogs, the changing seasons, family journeys and the landscapes of East Iceland. I’m especially drawn to the small, everyday moments that can easily pass unnoticed but often become the memories that matter most.
I’m currently working on personal photography projects and seasonal challenges that encourage me to slow down, carry my camera more often and tell more complete stories with my images.
In time, I also hope to offer a carefully selected collection of prints.
Thank you for visiting and following along.
